Warning: Beware of X-Mas [SCAM] Deals
Guys it’s about that time of the year.. where you gather whatever money you have together and try to go for the cheapest X-Mas deals. From Toys, Cars, and of course.. Technology. We’ve come up with a fact: During Christmas season money is mostly spent on Techs. Can you say Black Friday? But can you also say..Scam season as well? There are plenty of ways to get scammed if you’re trying to make a bargain off Flat-Screen TV’s, MP3 players, Cell phones or things of that nature only because you didn’t do it during black friday. A lot of so called websites that sell things for cheap most recently done in Ebay format (where ‘live bidding’ takes place) or shopping in the wrong stores in your area. Whats even more crazy is that many don’t suspect a thing!! This has become very extreme, however, at least there’s people like us who can help get the word around of others scheming and plotting.
Here are some pointers to find out if something is a scam when lurking online:
-Find out what they are about (Google works wonders)
-Check out what others opinions on them are
-Look for any suspicious activity on their ‘website’
How to avoid these kind of scams when Xmas shopping:
-Only go to websites that are recommended by others that you trust
-Be prepared to spend legitimate amounts of $$$ and not something that’s highly suspicious
-Visit stores in person while they have available Christmas needs
Now we’ve all been scammed at some point in our life and it’s often not a pretty feeling to have. Hope this helps, be safe and Happy Shopping!
